Calling all football enthusiasts! Lace up your cleats and join us for an exhilarating game on the field. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, our community football program promises excitement for everyone. It's more than just a game; it's an opportunity to bond, laugh, and create lasting memories. Sunrise Coyotes welcomes girls and boys ages 8 to 15. No experience necessary! See you on the field!

OUR FOOTBALL COMMUNITY
According to MMFA regulations, if you live in the RM of either Brokenhead or Springfield, you will register with the Sunrise Coyotes. We welcome kids from Oakbank, Tyndall, Beausejour, Anola, Dugald, Cooks Creek, Garson, Lac du Bonnet, Pinawa and East Selkirk. Come join us!

If your child is between the ages of 8 and 15, they are invited to become a part of the Sunrise Coyotes

Suit Up (Equipment Requirements)
The only equipment required is a mouth guard and cleats. Sunrise Coyotes players will be loaned equipment for the football season. All we ask is Coyotes and parents respect the equipment that is loaned and that it will be returned after the season. Each Coyote will be responsible to have a clean uniform every game. Coyotes understand that football is a contact sport and equipment will have its share of repairs or replacements. Coyotes will never sacrifice a player's safety. Equipment fitting will be announced at the start of the football season.
Game Days (When we practice / When we play)
The MMFA schedule runs from the beginning of August to the Championship weekend at the end of October. The Sunrise Coyotes will rely on the head coaches' discretion to set up practice times. The average is 2-3 practices per week (Starting mid-July) with one game on the weekend during the Football Season. Football is an outdoor sport please never assume your practice or game is cancelled until you hear it from the team manager.
Life is Busy (We Understand)
Our summers are short and our children are involved in many activities. However, unlike other clubs, we will not demand that you chose one sport, and with enough advance notice, we can accommodate missed practices. No child should be denied the right to play football because life is busy.
Friendly Competition (Who we play against)
All minor football teams are members in the MMFA. We typically play eight games during the season, which will be set up by MMFA. Our opponents will include teams from all over the province (Steinbach, Portage La Prairie, St. Vital, Nomads, Transcona, etc.)

We provide grants to help cover the costs of registration fees so that all kids aged 18 and under in Winnipeg can play a season of sport.
Our chapter accepts applications and administers grants of up to $500 per child/year, for kids who live in Winnipeg, or in one of the other communities we serve.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are proud to partner with Bell MTS on a new grant program to help over 100 youth play football in covering registration costs. The new grant will support families who require financial assistance, providing an opportunity for youth to register at one of the 14 affiliated Manitoba Minor Football Clubs.
